Daily Petabyte: wu-chi
Most important element: warm-up, stretching, preparation (for tai chi and life).
(...oh, and brew a pot of your favourite morning brew! ;-)
Petabyte:
A petabyte (derived from the SI prefix peta- ) is a unit of information or computer storage equal to one quadrillion bytes. It is commonly abbreviated PB.
Because of irregularities in using the binary prefix in the definition and usage of the kilobyte, the exact number in common practice could be either one of the following:
1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes — 10005, or 1015.
1,125,899,906,842,624 bytes — 10245, or 250. This capacity may be expressed unambiguously as a pebibyte.

It's freakin' amazing the amount and quality of podcasts available on the web these days. I got into listening to podcasts just several weeks ago, in advance of PodCampPittsburgh - I bought an iPod Shuffle the day it was released by Apple, and have been listening to Mac OSX, Linux, news and investing podcasts ever since, along with a few classical midi recordings and a couple of Shakespeare's plays during my long 90-minute commutes.
Adult though it be, after listening to hours of Macbreak, Linux Reality and Gannon on Investing, an hour or two of listening and re-listening to the actors in Hamlet is sobering in light of the awesome language, the human thoughts expressed and the common human realities enacted in a 500-year-old theatrical drama.
For daily exercise, if you have a busy schedule, seek simplicity as well as sweat.
The following is a simple warm-up for either tai chi or life, which can be done where you stand.
Leg lifts:
* 100 forward, each leg, knee as high as possible, slower is better.
* 100 rearward, each leg, heel as high as possible, slower is better.
Push-ups:
* don't assume that you need to do full-body
* knee-push-ups are a good start
* use a stair-case - do 10, 20 or 30 reps, slower is better.
Arm lifts
* slowly raise extended arms from waist to shoulder height
* 30 reps in each of 3 or 4 directions
Arm twists
* slowly twist extended arms, focusing on rotating palms 360 degrees
* 15 reps in each of 3 or 4 directions
Book Review:
I'll be referencing many books and e-texts throughout these episodes, but I'll start with the tai chi books.
These three books cover the Yang 24 set that I'll be reviewing:
Tai Chi Chuan, by Douglas Lee
Tai Chi Ch'uan and Qigong, by Wolfgang Metzger & Peifang Zhou with Manfred Grosser, Ph.D.
Tai Chi Ch'uan The Chinese Way, by Foen Tjoeng Lie
You can buy these books on Amazon for as little as $0.10 a copy...but they contain a huge wealth of knowledge about life and Tai Chi.
And...if you think those contain a wealth of knowledge...my all-time favorite is Wen-Shan Huangs Fundamentals of Tai Chi Chuan
